Ps 103:4 "redeemed"

“Redeemed, redeemed,

Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;

Redeemed, redeemed,

His child and forever I am”

Psalm 103:4

who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy

Redeem means to buy back. Those who’ve realized the need for a Savior have cause for celebration because the following passage confirms that Jesus came to buy us back.

"For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"

John 3:16-17 (NIV)

Salvation AND crowned with steadfast (unwavering) love and mercy too? Yes!

To be crowned by the Lord - means to be surrounded and it would look like this: Everyday, wherever we are or whatever happens we’re surrounded by His love and mercy. Like wrapped in a blanket! Wow!

Unwavering love can not be found in another human, it’s found only in Jesus Christ.

Take a moment today, as David did and Bless the Lord for covering your life with His unwavering love and mercy.

"Redeemed" Words penned by Fanny Crosby in 1882. She was an American mission worker, poet, lyricist, and composer who wrote over 8000 hymns. Also known for her teaching and her rescue mission work, Fanny was blind shortly after birth.
