Ps 103:9 forgiven / forgive
He will not always accuse us or be angry forever.
Good News Translation - "He does not keep on rebuking; He is not angry forever"
He is the One who will not and can not hold grudges, ever! Therefore, He wouldn't want us nurturing resentment toward Him or one another. Jesus is the most excellent example of releasing anger and extending forgiveness: on the cross He asked His Father God to forgive...
Just as He has chosen to forgive us we must choose to forgive one another and ourselves.
I'm beyond thankful that the Lord does not continue to penalize my frequent imbecile behavior! In fact, He is so deeply compassionate & gracious, slow to anger and super generous with His faithful love, when we ask forgiveness AGAIN for something He’s already forgiven He says, “What are you talking about?” Micah 7-18-19 says
You will not stay angry with your people forever,
because You delight in showing unfailing love.
Once again You will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under Your feet
and throw them into the depths of the ocean!
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.
We can rest in the truth that
9 He will not always accuse us or be angry forever.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless His holy name!
